BOTSchool, represented by Jorge Sousa, was a featured guest at the most recent webinar hosted by APDC with the title “How Generative AI Can Help Us” which was broadcast on October 24, 2023. The main goal of the webinar was to address a variety of questions related to Artificial Intelligence, specifically Generative AI. Given the array of opportunities these technologies can offer to society, the webinar aimed to address companies’ expectations and concerns about these technologies.

Jorge Sousa began by providing an overview of the origins and significance of Artificial Intelligence, subsequently developing into how this technology can add value to businesses, both large enterprises and Small and Medium Companies (SMEs).

The discussion also evolved the multiple possibilities that language models bring to our society, presenting a range of tasks that can be resolved through their use. However, it emphasized the potential risks associated with these technologies, which need to be regulated by relevant authorities.

Additionally, BOTSchool, as a Conversational Platform powered by Artificial Intelligence, was introduced along with its capabilities, illustrating through a success story involving the use of the tool in a call center of a telecommunication operator. During this presentation, it unveiled several new features that the forthcoming version of BOTSchool will offer, including the Generative AI capability. The ambition is to make BOTSchool Next Generation a “facilitator for these models to enter the industry while maintaining the knowledge base on the client’s side”.
