TechDay held on May 10th focused on the topic of Generative AI. This is a hot topic once Generative AI is a type of Artificial Intelligence capable of creating new content by using complex algorithms and neural networks that learn from existing data, and this way revolutionizes multiple sectors. However, it also raises ethical concerns about intellectual property rights and the impact on employment and human activities.
Sara Furão represented BOTSchool, presenting the platform and explaining its capabilities and possibilities of use. In addition, Sara emphasized the importance of Generative AI for Conversational AI Platforms and highlighted its fundamental role in the platform’s future.
The event also featured Nuno Lourenço, a professor at the University of Coimbra, who provided a tutorial on the topic and discussed the main challenges and opportunities of this technological innovation, and the models that have been created. Additionally, Abubakar Zakari representing Fashable explained the challenges and opportunities of Artificial Intelligence in the fashion industry.
At the end of the session, there was a Q&A moment where participants could clarify their doubts and interact with the guests. Generally, the consensus was that Generative AI is a valuable asset to society, but it is essential to remain mindful of the ethical issues it raises.
